Project overview
The Alibi Restaurant & Bar is an Italian-inspired restaurant and cocktail bar preparing to open in historic downtown Rutherfordton, North Carolina.
The owners needed more than a simple online menu. They needed a distinctive digital presence that would introduce the restaurant, establish its personality, generate excitement ahead of opening, and give future customers an easy way to explore everything The Alibi has to offer.
Our objective was to create a website that felt like an extension of the restaurant itself—sophisticated, inviting, memorable, and easy to navigate.
Our approach
We developed a custom-designed, mobile-responsive website built around The Alibi's unique identity. Drawing inspiration from the mystery and glamour of the Prohibition era, we established a cohesive visual direction featuring rich burgundy, black, warm gold, elegant typography, and cinematic imagery. Every element was considered, from the opening headline and page layouts to the navigation, calls to action, and overall customer experience. The result is a distinctive website that combines strong visual storytelling with practical functionality.

The result
The Alibi now has a distinctive digital presence designed to introduce the restaurant before its doors open and support its marketing efforts as the business grows.
Rather than relying on a generic restaurant template, the website reflects the personality of the business while giving visitors clear access to its menu, bar, events, and location.
The project demonstrates our approach to website design: combining creative direction, thoughtful content, modern development tools, and attention to the details that shape a customer's first impression.
A website should do more than look professional. It should tell your story, represent your business, and give customers a reason to choose you.
Project status: Pre-opening. Final photography, menu details, and launch information are being incorporated as they become available.
Status note: The Alibi's website is live while the restaurant prepares to open. Imagery and menu content are still placeholder material pending approved photography and a finalized menu; it is presented as a design direction, not a completed operating case study.
Imagery: Imagery shown is temporary and used for layout direction. Approved photography will replace it before launch.
Let's build a stronger online presence together.
